CRADLEY eased their way into the semi-finals of the Knockout Cup with a comprehensive 57-33 second leg victory over Stoke.

The Heathens already came into their home tie with an eight point advantage, but a dominant performance at Perry Barr saw them claim a 100-68 aggregate win.

The Heathens registered over 50-points for a second consecutive home meeting in front of another big crowd.

Heathens No.5 Nathan Greaves said: "All the boys did really well tonight and it was good to get another win at home.

"I was just glad to be able to walk away after that crash in my first ride but I knew my engines were quick and I was really pleased with my last three rides.

"We're starting to find some consistency in the team now and hopefully we can start kicking on again, starting with a good performance at Buxton on Sunday."

Captain Max Clegg top-scored for the Heathens and was only denied his maximum after having to ride through he pain barrier in the third re-run of Heat 15.

Matt Williamson put in another excellent performance from the heat-leader position whilst Nathan Greaves recovered from a horrific crash in his opening ride to go unbeaten by an opposition rider in his next three.

Ellis Perks put in a solid showing in his first meeting in the main body of the team at Perry Barr, whilst Arron Mogridge was only denied more points than he managed after taking a spill whilst in second in his final ride.

Michael Neale did his job and put in a steady shift, whilst Luke Harris bagged his highest score in Heathens colours so far.
