CRADLEY put in a powerhouse performance to race their way to a comprehensive 61-31 victory at home to Buxton.

The Heathens made it back-to-back wins at Perry Barr as they picked up their biggest win of the season.

It was a dream start to a busy few days for the Heathens who race at Sheffield in a challenge meeting tomorrow before another crucial National League clash at King's Lynn on Friday.

Heathens team manager Will Pottinger said: "It's great to break that 60-point barrier; we've come close a couple of times this season and we were really glad to finally do so tonight.

"Our gating wasn't at it's best tonight but that made for some really good, entertaining racing.

"There were plenty of encouraging signs for all six of our riders and it's another confidence boosting night for us as a team."

Captain Max Clegg raced his way to a hard-fought, five ride, full maximum.

Ellis Perks was sublime at reserve once again, only being denied an unbeaten night himself after falling whilst leading heat two.

Matt Williamson pulled off some impressive manoeuvres to race his way to double-figures once again.

Arron Mogridge had another positive night picking up three paid wins to continue his recent good form.

Michael Neale made a steady comeback from a broken collarbone while Tyler Govier put in an improved performance from reserve.
