CRADLEY put in another powerful performance as they stormed to a comfortable 58-35 victory over King's Lynn at Perry Barr.

The Motor Market Heathens accounted for 13 race winners with four riders ending with double figures as they emerged with a comprehensive win in an action-packed meeting.

Matt Williamson and Max Clegg both struck dominant paid maximums with superb performances, combining for 5-1s in heats 13 and 15 as Will Pottinger's side came on strong in the closing stages to withstand a Young Stars fightback.

Skipper Clegg pulled off the move of the night as he blasted from last to second in heat 13 before he went on to defend his Bronze Helmet against Josh Bailey.

Whilst the top two were in unstoppable form, reserve Arron Mogridge and Ellis Perks also impressed with double figure points hauls.
Mike Neale was involved in two 5-1s on his return before a heavy fall in his final ride, whilst Luke Harris put in an encouraging display and was lucky to walk away from a horrendous high-speed crash in heat eight.

It was an excellent performance from the Heathens as they bounced back from last Friday's disappointing defeat against the Young Stars, and team boss Pottinger was delighted to see his side respond with a resounding win.

Pottinger said: "It's always important to bounce back quickly after a defeat, and we managed to do it in good fashion tonight.

"We had four riders who made double figures, Max and Matt both did excellently to score paid maximums and it was a really good performance all-around.

"It was a bit tight at the interval, but we were always confident we would pull away at the end and that proved to be the case."

The Heathens will be back in action on Saturday as they face a tricky trip to Hoddesdon to take on Rye House (7pm).
