Monday July 11, 2016
CRADLEY produced another solid team performance to maintain their unbeaten home record with a 52-38 win over Mildenhall.

The result moved the Motor Market Heathens up to second place in the Travel Plus National League, leaving them just one point behind Midland rivals Birmingham.

Team manager Will Pottinger praised his side as they made it five wins on the spin in all competitions.

"We're very pleased with the result tonight; there's room for a few improvements but the main thing is we continued our recent momentum.

"We provided 10 of the 15 race winners and we secured a good number of important second and third places as well to back them up.

"We look a lot more comfortable and balanced since we've added a link between the heat-leaders and reserves and there's definitely plenty to build on.

"We're ticking along nicely of late and hopefully we can go to Stoke on Saturday and get another result."

Max Clegg and Ashley Morris both continued their dominance as they went unbeaten by the opposition.

Captain Clegg stormed to a full 15 point maximum while Ashley Morris enjoyed another impressive night, equaling his own Monmore National League track record in heat one in a time of 55.31.

Richard Andrews continued to settle into the Heathens line-up as he achieved double figures for the first time in the famous red, green and white.

Bradley Andrews was kept a busy man once again as he took all seven of his of his available outings contributing another handy tally from the No.7 spot.

Luke Chessell endured one of his tougher nights of the season while Layne Cupitt ended up on the deck three times on another difficult appearance for the youngster.

The Heathens head to Loomer Road on Saturday as they aim to secure their second away victory of the campaign.
