MILDENHALL 60 HEATHENS 28

Sunday September 10, 2017
DEPLETED Cradley suffered a miserable afternoon as they went down 60-28 at Mildenhall on Sunday.

The Motor Market Heathens were forced to head to West Row with a patched-up side featuring just one of their own riders.

And although Danny Ayres offered admirable resistance alongside guest Connor Coles, they were second best throughout.

Team manager Will Pottinger said: “We had two experienced riders in Danny Ayres and Connor Coles who did a solid job.

“But we didn’t have any other option apart from using unattached three-pointers who are just starting out in the sport to fill the other positions.

“It was always going to be a long afternoon, and we weren’t helped by the late withdrawal of Joe Lawlor this morning.

“It’s very frustrating as we should be putting out stronger teams than we are, but there’s nothing we can do about it at the moment.”
