ISLE OF WIGHT 61 HEATHENS 29

Thursday September 21, 2017
CRADLEY boss Will Pottinger was left frustrated after another heavy away defeat at the Isle of Wight.

The Motor Market Heathens were beaten 61-29 on a tough night at Smallbrook as their patched-up side were second best from start to finish.

Guesting duo Josh Bailey and Rob Shuttleworth fought admirably, as did middle order man Joe Lawlor.

But they recorded just one race win as the Warriors stormed to a convincing win on a difficult evening for the Heathens.

And team boss Pottinger admitted their situation is far from ideal after their latest tough evening.

“It’s hard to know what to say,” Pottinger said. “It’s frustrating to be having a revolving door as a team at the moment.

“It was another tough night, and we were beaten heavily. It was a disappointing performance, but it is what it is.

“Hopefully we can get as much of the team together as possible on Wednesday and win our last meeting against Eastbourne.”
