HARRIS READY FOR NRLC

Friday September 22, 2017
CRADLEY young gun Luke Harris is out to enjoy himself after being called up to Sunday’s National League Riders’ Championship at Leicester (3pm).

Harris, 18, steps in to represent the Motor Market Heathens with top two Danny Ayres and Tom Perry ruled out due to illness and injury respectively.

It will be a tough test for Harris against a strong line-up – but he is determined to take his chance and put in a solid showing.

Said Harris: “We’ve had quite a bit of bad luck over the past few weeks, but it’s another meeting and I’ll hopefully have a bit more luck.

“It doesn’t stop us from trying, and I’ll keep plugging away to try and score a few points. It’s a shame for Danny and Tom to miss out, but it’s nice to get a chance to ride in such a big meeting and I’ll just go out and enjoy it.

“It’ll be a tough one against some good riders, but there’s no pressure on me so I’ll just do my best and see how it goes.”
