HEATHENS CALL ON FANS

Thursday October 12, 2017
CRADLEY are calling on all their fans to help them see the season out in style.

And club bosses have moved to reassure worried supporters they will do all they can to ensure the Heathens come to the tapes next season.

They face Eastbourne in their last National League outing of the year at Wolverhampton on Monday – and 15-year-old sensation Jason Edwards has agreed to step in at reserve.

Fans attending the meeting will also get first news on the full line-up for the Golden Hammer, in association with Dudley Stroke Association, the following Monday.

Promoter Gary Patchett said: "It should be an entertaining fixture because Eastbourne are a solid team who have reached this year's Grand Final again and we expect it to be a close one.

"And while we sincerely hope it's not the case, who knows, it could be the last league meeting for Cradley.

"That's the stage we're at every season when October draws to a close unfortunately, because of our situation stadium wise.

"But available dates aren't as ready as they once were and we really are in an uncertain position right now.

"That's out of our hands and beyond our control really though and we have to play a bit of a waiting game on that front – however we sincerely hope we can come to the tapes again next season so it’s a case of fingers crossed.”

Fans attending Monday’s meeting can get their hands on tickets for the end of season presentation night on November 11 at Cradley Heath Liberal Club – but only 20 remain.

And the club can also confirm supporters can grab their own piece of Heathens history with every race jacket from the Golden Hammer becoming available after the meeting. More details will follow.
