COVENTRY V HEATHENS, PREVIEW

Saturday April 28, 2018
CRADLEY boss Will Pottinger can’t wait to get their season underway as they take on Coventry in the National Trophy at Leicester on Sunday (3pm).

The Motor Market Heathens are going all out for glory in the competition as a result of missing out on regular National League racing.

Pottinger says they are determined to get off to a winning start – but he knows returning giants Coventry will pose a stern test.

“We’re obviously looking to get off to a strong start,” Pottinger said. "We're excited to get going and get back racing after a long winter.

“It’s going to be a difficult meeting as Coventry are a good side at this level and they’ve already had a fair few meetings now.

“But we’ve put together a very talented side that we believe can go all the way in this competition, and most of them have been riding elsewhere so far this year.

“Hopefully we’ll see plenty of Cradley fans supporting the boys at Leicester and we’ll be able to come away with a victory.”

Talented youngsters Kyle Bickley, Jordan Jenkins, Drew Kemp and Jason Edwards will all make their Cradley debuts.

Coventry include former Heathens riders Luke Harris, Jon Armstrong and Danny Phillips within their line-up.

COVENTRY: Connor Mountain, Luke Harris, Jon Armstrong, Luke Ruddick, Danny Phillips, Jamie Halder, Ryan MacDonald.
CRADLEY: Adam Roynon, Conor Dwyer, Kyle Bickley, Bradley Andrews, Jordan Jenkins, Drew Kemp, Jason Edwards.
