COVENTRY v HEATHENS, PREVIEW

Saturday June 09, 2018
CRADLEY head to Leicester to face Coventry on Sunday in their most important fixture of the season so far (3pm).

The Motor Market Heathens fell to defeat at home to the Bees last month, but have since revived their National Trophy hopes, claiming maximum points from two fixtures against Buxton.

Cradley know that a third straight win would put them in control of their group ahead of their final two meetings against local rivals Birmingham.

And the Heathens have been boosted by the news that star reserve Drew Kemp is now available, following Mildenhall’s scheduled Sunday league fixture at Buxton being called off.

Team Manager Will Pottinger said: “Having Drew available is a massive boost for us because he’s such a valuable rider to have, especially while he’s still at reserve.

“But the whole team have bounced back well since the home defeat to Coventry and we know the importance of Sunday’s meeting.

“We have to go there and get a result, preferably a win, and that would set us up nicely ahead of our final two matches against Birmingham.

“It’s important because it seems a bit of a three horse race for top spot in our group.

“But I’m confident that the lads can do it.”
