HEATHENS VOW TO BATTLE ON

PATCHED-UP Cradley have vowed to battle to the end in their last meeting of the season today.

The Motor Market Heathens have several riders missing for the National Trophy Final second leg at Mildenhall with the Fen Tigers holding a comfortable 51-39 lead.

Ellis Perks has been ruled out with a broken fibula sustained on Tuesday, Taylor Hampshire also remains on the sidelines and both Kyle Bickley and Drew Kemp are unavailable.

But boss Will Pottinger said: “It’s our last meeting of the season and we’ll give it our all.

“Obviously we send Ellis our best wishes, it’s a nasty knock he’s taken and we thank the lads who have agreed to come in for us.”

Hot prospect Tom Brennan rides in place of Kemp and Nathan Stoneman deputises for Bickley. The action starts at 3pm.
