MONDAY PREVIEW

Sunday May 05, 2019
CRADLEY make a welcome return to National League action on Monday against modern day rivals Mildenhall at Monmore Green (7.30).

After a season of competing only in the National Trophy, the Anchor Logistics Heathens are back in third tier.
And it’s a blockbuster showdown to get their 2019 campaign underway.
It’s not only a repeat of last year’s National Trophy Final, but it’s also a clash of two sides who have had some memorable, and controversial meetings, this decade.
And if that wasn’t enough, the Fen Tigers include two former popular Heathens in Danny Ayres and Jason Edwards.
But Cradley welcome back two-times title winner Max Clegg to their side along with Luke Harris - the most decorated rider at their 2017 End of Season Presentation.
And there are debuts for Tom Brennan, Danny Halsey, Lewis Whitmore, Harry McGurk and Tom Spencer.
Team Manager Will Pottinger said: “The Fen Tigers have already been in action whilst we come into the match relatively cold, so it’s certainly going to be a tough opener for us.
“Having said that, our riders are up for the challenge, they’re chomping at the bit to ride together as a team and it should be an exciting match.
“We’ll need the supporters to turn out in good numbers and to get behind the lads and hopefully we can start our season off with a win.”
Admission is £13 adults, £11 concessions and students, £6 juniors (13-18) and £2 children (aged 12 and under).
A new-look Heathens raceday programme will also be on sale for £3 inside the stadium.
CRADLEY: Max Clegg, Lewis Whitmore, Danny Halsey, Luke Harris, Tom Brennan, Tom Spencer, Harry McGurk.
MILDENHALL: Danny Ayres, Matt Marson, Charlie Brooks, Jason Edwards, David Wallinger, Elliot Kelly, Macauley Leek.
