HEATHENS 60 BUXTON 32

DUDLEY continued their magnificent form with another emphatic win - this time storming to a 60-32 victory over Buxton at Monmore Green.

In their last home meeting of the National League campaign, the rampant Heathens ensured they will finish the regular season with a perfect home record.

It was an excellent display from the former-Cradley club - yet team boss Will Pottinger was not entirely satisfied with the performance of his side.

Said Pottinger: "It was another comfortable win for us and another good performance from the boys.

"We do need to try and cut the errors out if we can as we threw away a couple of points tonight which we might not get away with in the play-offs.

"But overall we have to be pleased with three more points and strong showing from the team."

Skipper Ashley Morris led the side impeccably with a faultless maximum - completing his night with a magnificent battle with Charles Wright to join the impressive Lewis Blackbird at the front for a 5-1.

Paul Starke enjoyed a fine evening as he moved to the No.1 position, smashing Adam Roynon's National League track record in heat one on his way to a big points haul.

Despite moving into the main body, youngster Max Clegg continued his strong form with two paid wins - whilst Gareth Isherwood completed an excellent showing from the whole top five.

Down at reserve Dan Greenwood continued his upturn in fortunes with a strong display - whilst Nathan Greaves also showed plenty of promise despite a frustrating evening which yielded two falls and a shed chain whilst in points scoring positions.

Dudley 60: Ashley Morris 14+1, Lewis Blackbird 14, Paul Starke 10+1, Dan Greenwood 8+1, Gareth Isherwood 7+1, Max Clegg 5+2, Nathan Greaves 2+1
