PLYMOUTH 39 HEATHENS 51

CRADLEY made it back-to-back victories in the Travel Plus National League with a 51-39 win at Plymouth.

It was another morale boosting result for the Motor Market Heathens who built on their home triumph over Lakeside from earlier in the week.

Fans favourite Danny Ayres romped to a sensational 15 point maximum while fellow heat-leaders Dan Greenwood and Ben Wilson, who was guesting for Tom Perry due to work commitments, also both hit double figures.

Team boss Will Pottinger hailed his side and says there were plenty of positives to take out of the performance.

"We're over the moon to leave Plymouth with four league points and they were fully deserved too," Pottinger said.

"When we did the track walk, you could tell that the lads were really up for it and they were determined to get the win.

"Thankfully they did just that as it's a long old journey home from Plymouth but at least we're heading back to the Midlands with maximum points in the bag.

"Danny was fantastic once again tonight and we're really happy for him on getting the maximum. He, Dan Greenwood and Ben Wilson all rode magnificently and scored 36 points between them.

"Luke (Harris) and Joe (Lawlor) can be more than happy with their contributions too and while Conor (Dwyer) and Ryan (Burton) may be disappointed with their scores, their points helped us claim that extra league point in the end.

"This win kind of makes up for our home defeat against Mildenhall from a couple of weeks ago, so everything is looking good again now and it's certainly a good way to get our run of away fixtures up and running."
