HEATHENS 54 WOLVES 39

Tuesday July 09, 2013
DUDLEY completed the double over local rivals Wolverhampton with a 54-39 victory in the Les Pottinger Memorial Trophy at Monmore Green.

Against a strong Wolves side, Heathens put in a powerful display to maintain their excellent form.
And boss Will Pottinger was in jubilant mood following another victory.

He said: "I'm really happy with another win against Wolves, and they've been two really valuable meetings.

"Lewis Blackbird and Paul Starke were both in excellent form, and all the other lads chipped in to make sure we did enough.

"The lads have proved over the last two meetings we're a good team. The signs are promising and we're hoping to keep going as we are to go a long way this season."

Lewis Blackbird spearheaded the former-Cradley club with a faultless 15 point maximum, whilst Paul Starke also put in an all-action display and suffered only one defeat.

Skipper Ashley Morris also returned eight vital points, whilst the remaining quartet of Max Clegg, Nathan Greaves, Gareth Isherwood and Dan Greenwood all made useful contributions.
